This event attracts over 1,500 children and their families to experience old-time Louisiana culture, arts and crafts, Mardi Gras music and magic - plus learning from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Children’s Day culminates with the Children’s Parade, a purple, green and gold parade for the young and the young at heart through downtown Lake Charles, beginning at the Lake Charles Civic Center at 2:30 p.m. The Parade route will be from the Lake Charles Civic Center down Broad St. to Ryan, south on Ryan to Sale Rd.
